The legend around his image translates, “Ferdinand, VI, by the grace of God King of Spain and the Indies”, the word for “Indies” misspelled, and the “n” reversed. The reverse displays a St. James on horseback, the horse moving to the left as St. James lifts his sword over his head. The legend translates, “John de Caxigal (?) Viceroy of Cuba proclaims thee king” followed by a small cross and the year “1747” is seen in the field.
