Value of 1760 Proclamation over Florida Medal
This medal proclaims Charles III as ruler over Florida. The obverse displays a bust of the new Spanish king, Charles III, facing to the right wearing armor, and his wig tied back with a bow. The legend translates, “Charles III, Most Christian King”. The reverse displays a blooming rose with a leaf on the right and a rosebud on the left of the stem.
