This medal displays a left-facing bust of President Benjamin Harrison. The legend gives the President’s name and in the exergue states, “Mint of the United States Annual Assay, 1891.” The reverse displays a bearded man working on an Assay. The legend, written in Latin translates to “Knowledge crowns the work.” Only one known medal is in existence and it is located in the Pittman collection.
