This Token Came From – Hartford, Connecticut

The obverse text on the token reads “Valve. Me. As. You. Please III.” The reverse text on this token reads “Alfred S. Robinson banker Numismatist & Notary Public Dealer In Stocks, Bonds, Notes, Land Warrants, Uncurrent Money & All Kinds of American & Foreign Specie. Hartford, Conn. 1861.” The obverse depicts a deer in the center facing the left, with a line of text running around the outside border. The reverse of the token shows the entire field filled with text and flowing lines.
