The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Lower Works of the Anaconda Copper Mining Co 1896 and the reverse text is The Montana Hotel, C.H. Hanson Chi, Anaconda. The front side of the coin shows a mine with buildings set off to the left side and smoke coming from the chimneys of the buildings, text surrounding the illustrated scene of the mine.
