This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-156.
The obverse text reads “American Institute New-York H” and the reverse text reads “Copy of a Gold Medal Awarded to R & W Robinson, For the Best Military, Naval, Sporting, a& Plain Flat Buttons, 1836.” The obverse of the token shows a woman sitting on a throne with an eagle and shield surrounding her, and the reverse has text that is curved.
