The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Chief Seattle W.H. Seward Father of Alaska, Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition and the reverse text is Souvenir Alaska-Yukon Pacific Exposition Seattle, Wash. 1909 The progressive makers Seattle, Wash. Pat. Applied For. The front side of the coin shows two busts of men in the upper curtain of the design, the curtains being draw to reveal a miner mining for gold with the sun setting in the background, a banner below the miner. The backside of the coin depicts descriptive text running through the center of the medal with stars scattered throughout.
