The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Pacific Railroad (MOPAC) Where the West Began Butterfield Overland Stage and the reverse text is Tipton, Missouri 1858 From Train to Stage September 13-20 1958 Centennial. The front side of the coin shows two images that divide the coin in half, one of a stage coach and one of a train engine, with text running through the center and arching text on the top and the bottom. The backside of the coin depicts two lines of text in the center with the dates above and below and arching text at the top and bottom of the medal.
