This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-283a

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Trans-Mississippi Exposition Omaha 1898 and the reverse text is 1848. The front side of the coin shows a female portrait facing the left with her hair pulled back in a bun, shown down to her shoulders, the date rests below the shoulders and circular text surrounds the head. The backside of the coin depicts a horseback rider chasing a buffalo, both the horse and the buffalo are leaping, the man is holding a spear in his right hand and has it drawn back ready to attack, the date is below and a beaded border surrounds.
