The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Jamestown Exposition Norfolk, VA 1907 April 26 to Dec 1 and the reverse text is 1607 Ter-Centennial 1907. The front side of the coin shows an aerial view of the Jamestown Exposition in the center with boats in the shipyard and a large brick structure in the background. The backside of the coin depicts a split motif showing three ships on the open ocean in the upper half of the illustration and a new U.S. Battle Ship Virginia in the lower half of the coin.
