This Token Came From – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

The obverse text on the token reads “Jas. F. Cleary’s Saloon Virtue Liberty and Independence 8th & Cherry Sts..” The reverse text on this token reads “Cleary’s Saloon S.W. Cor. 8th & Cherry Sts..” The obverse depicts two horses rearing up around a shield with an eagle on top and a banner below, all surrounded by lines of circular text. The reverse of the token shows three lines of text with four decorative flowers and two stars separating the lines of text.
