This Token Came From – Walsh’s General Store

This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-218.

The obverse text reads “Lafayette, A Friend To America & Freedom Died May 20, 1834” and the reverse text reads “Walsh’s General Store Lansingburg New-York 1835.” The obverse of the token shows a statue of Lafayette to commemorate his death, and the reverse has text with severa leaves and branches.
