The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The King of the Carnival Souvenir of the Mardigras and Carnival New Orleans and the reverse text is The Worlds Exposition 1884 1885. The front side of the coin shows two figures to either side of the Mardi Gras Seal in the center, banner below and crown above, text surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts a globe floating in the air above the illustration of the exposition grounds with text and dates surrounding close to the borders.
