This Token Came From – D.W. Davenport Variety Store
This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-101.
The obverse text reads “Davenport, Chapel St., New Haven, Combs, Perfumery, Baskets & Toys” and the reverse text reads “Davenport, General Variety & Fancy Goods, Hemings Genuine Needles.” The obverse of the token has a large image of a comb in the center, and the reverse has text with two small flowers in the center section.
