This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-494

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Great Smoky Mts. Natl. Park for information write Governor’s hospitality committee Raleigh, N.C. North Carolina and the reverse text is First flight Orville and Wilbur Wright Kitty Hawk 1903, Roanoke Island Birthplace of Virginia Dare. The front side of the coin shows mountains in the upper center with a car driving along the road and an Indian head to the center right side with text below. The backside of the coin depicts the first plane in the upper portion of the coin flying over the mountains with an Island in the lower half of the coin, a small girls head appears from the bottom of the coin.
