The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads William Penn and the reverse text is 1682 1882, Penn’s House City Hall. The front side of the coin shows William Penn’s name written to either side of the bust in the center, showing Penn looking to the left. The backside of the coin depicts an angel at the top with wings spread, two circles enclosing images of the house William Penn lived in and of City Hall, along with a crest at the bottom surrounded by two horses.
