The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads World’s Fair St. Louis Palace of Varied Industries 525 by 1200 feet, Cost $604,000 and the reverse text is Palace of transportation 525 by 1300 feet cost $696,000, Palace of Art 836 feet long cost $1,000,000. The front side of the coin shows a building with four total boats out front and four lines of descriptive text sitting below. The backside of the coin depicts two motifs shown, each taking up half of the coin, one being the Palace of Transportation which is a long fancy building, and the palace of Art which is grand in appearance.
