The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads California the Exposition State San Francisco 1915 and the reverse text is Panama Canal Completion Exposition, San Francisco 1915. The front side of the coin shows a female standing in the center of the medal with a bear to her lower left and a spear and flag in her left hand, her right hand is reaching out with rays coming over the mountains in the background, text surrounds with the location below and a beaded border. The backside of the coin depicts a ship, steamship, in the center with steam coming from the stacks, the date is separated to either side of the ship with text surrounding in a beaded border.
