The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Rush to the Rockies Centennial, Denver 1959 and the reverse text is Denver Colorado, 1859. The front side of the coin shows the city of Denver illustrated in the lower portion of the coin extending up to the top, mountains in the background with text at the top and small text towards the bottom. The backside of the coin depicts old pioneer buildings in the lower part of the coin with mountains in the top and text on the upper edge.
