The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Oregon 100th Anniversary Celebration, Frontier of the Future Centennial 1859 1959 and the reverse text is Oregon Wagon Train 1859 1959. The front side of the coin shows a large number in the upper center of the coin and surrounded by text, the text on the outside border of the coin surrounds the inner emblem for the Centennial Celebration of the Oregon Trail. The backside of the coin depicts decorative text and dates surrounding the inner illustration of the wagon trains and horse.
