The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Eugene, Oregon 1859 1959 Emerald Empire and the reverse text is Oregon 100th Anniversary Celebration, Frontier of the Future Centennial 1859 1959. The front side of the coin shows a covered wagon being pulled by two oxen heading towards the left side of the coin with the sun setting in the distance and ground beneath the feet of the animals, dates and text surround the illustration. The backside of the coin depicts the Centennial Celebration emblem in the center with a large number and text surrounding.
