This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-213

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Genoa 1447 Palos 1492 San Salvador 1492 Chicago 1893 and the reverse text is 1893 Commemorating Maryland’s Participation in the World’s Columbian Exposition. The front side of the coin shows a large bust in the center circle with an eagle above, a banner below the bust wrapping over half way around the portrait. The backside of the coin depicts five birds at the top shown in flight, tall grass, turtles and birds near the edge of the oceans, a crest in the center with small lines of text above.
