The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads The centennial year of our National Independence 1876 and the reverse text is Battle of Trenton December 26 1776 8 New York. The front side of the coin shows 34 stars surrounding the nude bust of President George Washington in the center, text and date appear around and below the bust. The backside of the coin depicts rays and a circle in the center of the coin with the date inside, an oak wreath surrounds the text on the back side of the coin.
