This So-Called Dollar is given the catalog number HK-285

The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Maine Launched at the Brooklyn Navy Yard Nov 18, 1890 and the reverse text is In commemoration of the officers and crew who perished in Havana Harbor Cuba on board the U.S.S. Battleship Maine Feb. 15th 1898. The front side of the coin shows a battleship in the center with two smoke stacks and two masts, text below and empty space above. The backside of the coin depicts lines of decorative and descriptive text fill the entire back side of the coin, several stars scattered throughout.
