The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Security Dispatch United States Express Co Trade Mark 1854 and the reverse text is In Commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of the founding of the United States Express Company 1854-1904. The front side of the coin shows a horseshoe in the background, a flying item above the shoe and rays in the background, a wreath with an open top is in the center surrounding the outside border of the coin. The backside of the coin depicts ten lines of horizontal text in the center with a beaded border surrounding.
