To the lower left is a Turkey, to the lower right is a Turtle, and in the center above each is a howling wolf. All three of these animals are symbolic of the Delaware Tribe of Native Americans. The ring of 13 stars surrounding them represents the colonies that exsisted when the Delaware Treaty took place in 1778.
