The Verplanck and Our Country Die 1 Hard Times Token features the portrait of Gulian C. Verplanck facing towards the left. On the reverse, in a similar fashion to the previous Seward Tokens, is an eagle with spread wings.. This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-30.
The obverse text reads “Gullian. C. Verplanck, Our Next Govnr” and the reverse text reads “A Faithful Friend To Our Country.”
