This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-105.

The obverse text reads “J.M.L & W.H. Scovill, Waterbury, Con, 1837” and the reverse text reads “Gilt Buttons of Every Description, Sheet Brass Plated Metal & Gold Plate.” The obverse of the token shows a Pheonix rising from the flames, and the reverse is only text.
