The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads 1682 Arrival of William Penn in America 1932, Aetis 22 1666 and the reverse text is Whitehead-Hoag. The front side of the coin shows a portrait of a young William Penn looking towards the right with a date to either side and text surrounding his head. The backside of the coin depicts Penn shaking the hand of a Native American chief with the forest in the backgrounds and the two standing men surrounded by the Native American Indian tribe.
