The obverse text reads “C. Wolfe Clark & Spies New York Military Store & Hardware”. The reverse text reads “New York Grand Canal Opened 1823”. The obverse of the token shows a portrait of George Washington facing right with his portrait surrounded by text and the reverse of the token shows an eagle facing the left with arrows and a branch in its hand and text surrounding.
