The obverse of the token reads, “Wm. Brooks Hardware and Stoves Battle Creek & Elkhart” and the reverse of the token reads “Union 1861.”The obverse shows seven lines of text with stars to either side. The reverse depicts an eagle flying with spread wings and 2 stars.
