The obverse of the token reads, “1863 Good Samaritan” and the reverse of the token reads “Goodrich & Gay Dealers in Hardware Iron Steel Nails & Glass, Grand Rapids, Mich.”The obverse shows a large stove-type machine in the center and surrounded by stars and text. The reverse depicts several lines of text with two small stars.
