Value of 1781 Admiral Rodney and the Capture of St. Eustatius Medal

Lord George Brydges Rodney captured St. Eustatia shortly after the English declared war on Holland. This medal commemorates his success. Obverse features a bust of Rodney, facing to the right, wearing his naval uniform and a tricorne hat. The legend on the obverse states, “G. B. Rodney.” The reverse lacks an image and simply states, “The hero who having spent his youth in the service of his country, is amply repaid by the capture of St. Eustatia, February 3rd, 1781.”
