This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-170.

The obverse text reads “Songs and Ballads Wholesale and Retail, Bulton St Boston.” and the reverse text reads “Cash for Rags Junk Iron Copper Brass & C WM. Rutter Red Store, Fulton St. Boston.” The obverse of the token is made up on the text and two flutes crossed over one another, and the reverse is only text with a few curved lines.
