The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads New Jersey Sesquicentennial Celebration 1776 1926 and the reverse text is Battle Monument 1776-77 Trenton. The front side of the coin shows an image of George Washington Crossing the Delaware River in his rowboat, standing at the front of the boat with men behind him and text surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts two circles holding shields to either side of the monument of column in the center of the illustration with branches coming from behind the circles and text above and below the design.
