The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Seal of Board of Trade Bridgeport, Conn 1876, The Best City on the Western Hemisphere and the reverse text is Local Pride Souvenir of the Industrial Capital of Connecticut, Made in Bridgeport, Compliments of the Board of Trade. The front side of the coin shows two lines of text along the outside border of the coin with an illustration of the City of Bridgeport in the center. The backside of the coin depicts a beaded border surrounding a curving line of text on the outside border, a single line separates the outside border text from the inside decorative text.
