This Token Came From – New York, New York

The obverse text on the token reads “Two Cities As One New York & Brooklyn.” The reverse text on this token reads “Souvenir of the Opening of the East River Bridge May 24th 1883 1867 1883.” The obverse depicts the new East River Bridge stretching from one side of the token to the other, with descriptive text above. The reverse of the token shows a wreath and banner with text held within them.
