The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Gasparilla’s Golden Jubilee Tampa and the reverse text is 50 Year of Pirate Pageantry 1904-1954, Feb. 8. The front side of the coin shows a pirate captain in the center with the ship wheel at his hands, text above and below, mostly curved text. The backside of the coin depicts a ship in the center of the coin with the dates positioned below the boat, text circling around the coin and a wavy border.
