The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Nassau Water Works Commcd. July 1856 and the reverse text is Water Introduced in the City of Brooklyn December 1858 Celebrated April 1859. The front side of the coin shows a man in the center lounging with water flowing from a cornucopia with dates surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts a house in the lower center with smoke coming from the chimney and text above, dates below.
