This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-175.

The obverse text reads “Cheapside No. 1 New Bedford 1833” and the reverse text reads “Francis L. Brigham. Dealer in Dry Goods. By Wholesale. And Retail.” The obverse of the token shows a large building that is supposidly a factory in New Bedford, and the reverse is comprised of text explaining what is produced in the factory.
