This Token Came From – Nathan C. Folger Clothing and Toy Store

This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-117.

The obverse text reads “Nathan. C. Folger, New-Orleans, Dealer In Ready Made Clothing, Hats, Boots, Shoes & C, No.33 Old Levee, Corner of Bienvill St.” and the reverse text reads “Boys and Children’s Clothing, Stocks Handkerchiff, Gloves, Umbrellas, Carpet, Bags, Trunks & C, 1837, B&S N.Y.” The obverse of the token is all text in a circular pattern, and the reverse is all text in a horizontal pettern with a small flower at the top and bottom.
