This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-251.

The obverse text reads “PB&S Deveau’s 156 Chatham Square N. York” and the reverse text reads “Bentonian Currency 1837 Mint Drop.” The obverse of the token shows a Braided Liberty Head with surrounding text, and the reverse has text and a wreath.
