This token typically receives the Hard Times Designation of HT-361.

The obverse text reads “Lafayette, A Friend To America & Freedom. Died May 20 1834” and the reverse text reads “Plank Planed & Matched By W.P. Haskings 435 River St. Troy N.Y. Also Ground Nova Scotia Plaster For Sale 1834.” The obverse of the token has an image of Lafayette, who the token is commemorating, and the reverse is filled with text.
