This Token Came From – Fort Mead, Dakota Territory
The obverse text on the token reads “W.S. Fanshawe & Co. Post Traders Fort Mead. D.T. Good For 100 in Merchandise.” The reverse text on this token reads “W.S. Fanshawe & Co. Post Traders, Fort Mead. D.T. Good For 100 In Merchandise.” The obverse depicts numerals in the center with two lines above and three lines below. The reverse of the token shows five total lines of text with the number in the center.
