History, Information, and Value of 1874 Central New York Agricultural, Horticultural and Mechanical Association Medal

This Central New York Agricultural, Horticultural, and Mechanical Association medal was struck at the Mint in 1874. The obverse features a pair of crossed rose stems surrounded by the legend which reads, “CENTRAL NEW YORK AGRICULTURAL, HORT & MECHL ASSOCIATION; FOUNDED 1873.” The reverse displays an open, ornate wreath topped by an arm holding a hammer. The legend at the top merely reads, “AWARDED TO” with space for engraving.
