The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads 1854 Atlantic City 1904 and the reverse text is 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Incorporation of Atlantic City, The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J. The front side of the coin shows a nude female in the ocean, swimming through waves with the sun appearing from behind her, text at her feet and a beaded border surrounding. The backside of the coin depicts a wreath made out of laurel leaves and berries, tied at the bottom, with text inside of the wreath.
