The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads 1854 Atlantic City 1904 and the reverse text is 50th Anniversary Celebration of the Incorporation of Atlantic City, The Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, N.J. The front side of the coin shows a female figure swimming in the surf, nude, with the rays and sun coming from behind her and text at her feet, a beaded border surrounding the coin. The backside of the coin depicts a wreath open at the top with text within, a Reeded edge surrounding the back side of the coin.
