The obverse text on this So-Called Dollar reads Massachusetts and the reverse text is Centennial Anniversary of Randolph 1793 July 19 1893. The front side of the coin shows the State Shield of Massachusetts in the center, featuring a Native American standing with a bow and arrow, a banner below with text above and 13 stars positioned below. The backside of the coin depicts a closed wreath enclosing the date in the center with text to the outside, a beaded border along the edge.
