The 1993 $5 Gold Madison Commemorative Coin was used to commemorate James Madison who was a major player in the Bill of Rights. This is not the only commemorative coin that honors him, though. There are also silver and clad coins that pay homage to Madison. The front shows his portrait and the reverse shows text about the Bill of Rights. This coin was minted at the West Point Mint.
