According to records, 1,000 bronze medals were struck for the North Western Sanitary fair. The obverse of these medals feature an image of Abraham Lincoln, facing to the right. The legend reads, “MEMORIA IN AETERNA; ABRAHAM LINCOLN. PAQUET. F.” The reverse displays Lady Liberty holding a flag while pointing towards a military camp in the background. The legend reads, “NORTH WESTERN SANITARY FAIR; NWSC, NW, NWSC, NW SAN COM; NW SAN COM PAQUET. F. CHICAGO, ILL. 1865.”
